During this webinar, participants will gain an inside look at the collaboration between the Office of Global Michigan (OGM) and the Michigan State Housing Development Authority (MSHDA) in launching the Newcomer Rental Subsidy (NRS) Program. They will learn how the program was conceived, the strategic steps taken to bring it to life, and how OGM addressed housing affordability during the critical first years of resettlement and integration. Initial outcomes, key lessons, and recipient feedback will provide valuable insights into the program’s impact.   

Participants will also explore an innovative pilot program that goes beyond short-term rental support to create a pathway to homeownership.
