Afghan Newcomers - Accelerate Education for High School Students!

Save years & money via Dual Enrollment & CPP in high school!

Best for:

Clients & Community

MAS-SSF's Shifa for Youth program is excited to inform motivated 8th-12th grade Afghan newcomer students about educational pathways that can accelerate their academic & career journeys.

By taking college classes for free or low cost during high school via Dual Enrollment, students can earn college credit simultaneously with high school credit, you knock two birds in one stone, saving time & money on college classes you don't have to take later! Then, you can exit high school early via the California Proficiency Program (CPP) at the age of 16 or by the end of 10th grade to save 2 years on education -- that is A LOT of time you save! You can use that for work, taking care of your family, travel, or starrt college 2 years faster -- this pathway can potentially get you partially done with college by the age of 16! Encourage your friends to leave high school early together!
