New Arrivals Eligible for Reception & Placement (R&P) Services

Newly arrived families from Afghanistan and other countries may qualify for Reception & Placement (R&P) services, available only within the first 90 days after arrival. 

Eligible services include case management, financial assistance, housing support, benefits and Medi-Cal navigation, employment connections, ESL, and school enrollment.  

Refugee Health Clinic will be the contact for physical exams, lab tests, and children’s school vaccines. 

Families should contact only one resettlement agency—Opening Doors or World Relief Sacramento—to begin services.
