Work Permit Info - USA Hello

Most new EADs will no longer be valid for 5 years. Under a new rule, many categories will now get a maximum length of 18 months. Some groups will only receive 1-year EADs or less.

• These changes apply to EAD applications that are pending or submitted on or after December 5, 2025 (for 18-month categories) and July 22, 2025 (for 1-year categories).

• Your current work permit will stay valid until the date printed on it.
